Hi there! I recently arrived at the Franklin County Animal Rescue, and my dedicated team is still learning all about me. The intake team said I am very sweet, but shy at first. Please check back soon to read my biography. Meanwhile, you can learn more about the organization that is taking care of me at https://www.franklincountyanimalrescue.orgWe are pre-approving applicants. To schedule an appointment, first fill out our adoption application ( https://cb8f5fb7-0a87-40fa-8ea5-50c4da40acd3.filesusr.com/ugd/c8cb9f_8cd13866ecd54a42a2b424d2b2f8dc10.pdf ). This will ask you questions about which animal youre interested in, your family, other furry members in the household, whether you own or rent your home and who your Veterinarian is.
These allow us to make the best match possible. We touch base with your landlord due to the unfortunate number of landlords who do not allow pets in Franklin County. Our goal with checking in with your Veterinarian is to ensure that the animals of FCAR receive the medical care they deserve. Once we have a positive reference from your landlord (if you rent) and Veterinarian, we will contact you to schedule an appointment with us! If you dont have any pets we understand you would not have a vet reference and we ask for applicants to substitute a personal reference.
Please keep in mind, appointments are first come, first serve, based on when your application is approved. Please be patient with your Veterinarian and landlord, as their staff and businesses have been affected by COVID-19 as well. We are incredibly thankful that there has been no shortage in interest! This being said, our staff is limited and we are doing our absolute best to approve applications in a timely manner. This process can take up to a few weeks, but most are approved before then.
FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an
internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet
Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or
involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery
Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet
owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such
as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the
