Name: Tigerlily Suspected Breed(s): DSH Gender: Female Age: 15 years Weight: 8lbs Personality: Affectionate, Gentle, Low energy, Friendly, Playful Observations with Dogs: Unknown Observations with Cats: Bonded to her brother Sam; good with other cats after proper introduction Observations with Kids: Unknown House Training Progress: Good litterbox manners Location: DC area foster home Rescued From: Smyth County, VA Additional Information: True to her name, Tigerlily is a senior cat with the spirit of a tiger and the beauty of a lily. Like all pretty kitties, she expects you to dole out compliments along with kisses. In return, shell purr and snuggle to express her gratitude. Although shes energetic, she doesnt require a large time investment for play. Shes an excellent communicator who will gladly remind you when its mealtime. If she wants to be petted, shell raise her adorable little paws to draw you in while her soulful eyes speak to your heart. To talk about Tigerlily is to also talk about her faithful sidekick, Sam, who is a younger adult cat who helps her maintain her youthful attitude by being her play-fighting buddy. They absolutely adore catnip toysand each other! Both are cat-friendly with proper introductions, so dont be shy if you plan to have them meet other cats! ________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Apply for a CAT: www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adopt-a-city-kitty.html City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is a foster based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR&CK has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter (unless specified). We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDR&CK. City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Cat specific: Rabies, FVRCP, Feline Leukemia vaccines. They are tested for FIV and FeLV, when age appropriate, but not when born to a negative mother in foster care. Most cats and dogs will have a house training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained. We also update our Facebook page daily with new cats and dogs.
