Minx here! Ive been doing a lot of neat things since I came into the rescue so I thought Id update my profile to let you know. First of all, Im a spunky little dog, topping out at about 45 pounds, so I can live happily in an apartment. I love people, but Im not clingy.

Im pretty smart and Ive learned a few commands including how to crawl and how to bow. I know how to sit and down, and Ill come when you call me (well mostly, so well have to work on that some). I love treats and take them very gently, so keeping up my training will be easy. Im missing a few front teeth, but that just gives me a lopsided grin.

Im a low maintenance, quiet gal. Im happy to sleep in my open crate while youre working from home. Or I can just hang out while youre away at work. Im house trained, so no worries there.

Im easy-going and easy on a leash. I love to play ball but youll need two because Im not going to bring it back yet, but you can teach me how to do that! Im OK with a dog-savvy cat but well need a slow, managed introduction, and if your cat will correct me, Ill behave very well. I like other dogs but if they get rambunctious, and get in my face, Ill tell them to back off. I currently live with three other dogs, males and females, and we get along great. I dont need a companion dog, however, if you have a calm, playful dog, or a senior that needs exercise, I know we could be great friends.

One of the things I think is pretty cool (but the humans are not happy about) is I climb fences! Yep. I can climb a wire or chain link fence! So, Im going to need a privacy fence or a wrought iron fence at least 5 feet tall. If you dont have a yard, thats okay too as long as youll take me for a run. But I cant go to dog parks, because Ill just climb the fence - there are just so many great smells on the other side of a fence!

How about it? Are you ready for a nice companion? I might be the right one for you!For more information on our adoptable pet list please visit: Adoptable Pet List

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
