Luna is a gorgeous, happy and very special 2 year old black GSD. Although life has thrown Luna a few challenges, she loves people, is eager for attention, and is just a happy girl. Luna’s past is a bit of mystery. She was left at a shelter already paralyzed. Despite these challenges, she is alert, active and super friendly to people and other dogs. She is the neighborhood favorite. People and kids will stop what they were doing just to come over and say hi to her. Luna is also doing well with some confident, dog savvy kitties. She can be very intent in her focus but after proper introductions has done amazingly well. One cat in her foster home will even curl up with her to sleep and Luna, in turn will cover her in kisses, particularly the ears. Her other positives – she takes treats gently, is potty trained, is crate trained, and will freely give kisses.

Due to her disability, her ideal home will be clutter free and either have no stairs or have a main floor where people spend the majority of their time. The adopter(s) will need not only patience and love but also the strength to place her in her harness and/or wheelchair. Other plusses would be if there was another companion animal in the house to keep her company. She uses a Help Em Up harness and a wheelchair, and she can go to the bathroom while on the wheelchair.

We dont know her past but it seems she is fascinated with everything she sees. The world is full of wonder for her. She has a foster brother that is teaching her how to enjoy walks, play with toys, and be a family dog. She will benefit from having calm and less dominant doggy siblings who can teach her house rules.
