Meet Riley! She is a 5 year old, spayed female, Greyhound/Shepherd mix. Riley is a happy, sweet and energetic pup. She loves to play fetch and is happiest when a tennis ball is near. This beautiful girl came to us because of her fear of small children. She becomes very nervous and uncomfortable around them. Since this is the case she will not be adopted into a household with small kids. Riley does do great with older kids though and would really thrive in a home with older children to play with. Rileys socialization was limited in her previous home as well, making her shy with strangers. Since arriving at our shelter she has made great strides and is doing much better with new people. With the help of her new owners, she can continue to grow and trust people. Riley also has never lived with other animals. Other animals appear to make her uneasy and stressed. She must be kept as the only pet and will not be adopted into a home with canine or feline residents. Riley also appears to be house trained and with a consistent schedule should do well. She also knows a few basic commands and did we mention this girl will play fetch for days? Riley is an incredibly loyal dog who is just searching for the right home. She is up to date on her vaccinations and is now searching for a family to give her a second chance. If you are interested in giving Riley a forever home stop by our shelter for a visit!
