Gracie - sweet & ready!!

In shelter Dog

Dalzell, SC, 29040
Pet name:
Gracie - sweet & ready!!
Gracie is a sweet girl who showed up in a nice familys yard. She was covered in infections on her legs and paws and despite her pain, was a gentle and sweet pup. After treatment and some regular meals, Gracie found her energy and playful side! She gets along with the other dogs in the home and has been a very good foster, but she cant stay forever. She has been spayed and up to date on vaccinations, but while neglected did contract heartworm disease. The rescue will see her through treatment and she currently has no symptoms and is not contagious to other animals. Gracie is a perfect medium size and deserves an indoor home where she can enjoy air conditioning and the comforts of great dog beds and being with a loving family! If you can add this lovely hound to your family for forever cuddles and care, please consider meeting her! Because we are foster based, we require an approved application before a meet and greet can be scheduled. we think that is fair for our fosters so every meet and greet has the potential to result in an immediate adoption. The application is available on the rescue website and can be completed online. We work with many rescues and strive to find every rescued dog in our care a great home. Sometimes that means transferring that pet to another location where adoption may be more likely. We currently have partners in New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont.

If you are interesting in meeting any of our pets, the process is to complete an application. It can be downloaded as a pdf document from our website and submitted by email to as a scanned document or as photos OR can be completed entirely online. Both links are in the header of our website.

Because we are foster based, we require an approved application to schedule a meet and greet. We feel that is fair to our fosters and rescues so every meet and greet can result in an adoption.

We do not have set adoption fees for dogs, but hope adopters will donate generously so we can rescue more. The medical care for every dog can easily exceed the adoption donation. Average adoption fees for dogs in the area range from $175 up to $450.

We ask for a minimum adoption donation of $50 for cats regardless of age. Each cat is up to date on vaccinations, dewormer, and microchipped. Larger donations are always welcome so we can rescue more. Medical care for each cat easily exceeds the minimum donation.

As with every rescue, our resources are limited and the need for rescue help is unlimited. Your generosity helps us to rescue more.

Adopting or fostering for a rescue frees up a space where a new rescue can reside.

If you cant adopt or foster, than please consider donating.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
