Do you love to snuggle and play? Me too! Hi, I am Athena, and I would love to love you. My favorite things in life are playing with my toys, dog friends and people, snuggling on you, napping, and exploring my environment. I am good on a leash, lead or fenced yard. My preference is a quieter house, I am shy and sometimes get nervous about unknown sounds. My foster mom says I have a lovable, playful, quiet yet energic personality.

While I will go into my kennel, I prefer to roam free. I love dogs of all sizes (but those closer to my size will be able to physically play with me) and I love all people, especially females. My foster mom is working with me on being potty trained, but sometimes I have accidents in the house. She also tells me I am smart and curious with a big heart. Sometimes I forget that I am 40 lbs. and I still want to be held like a small puppy. Lying next to or on you is where I will feel most comfortable. People always tell me that I am a beautiful girl with my light blue eyes and brown fur, but I just think I am lovable big girl that wants to be an active and important part of your family. I cannot wait to meet you!

**Note on breed and age determination:

Breed and age are often determined on appearance, our own knowledge, veterinarian advice, and/or information from the sending shelters or previous owners. Most of our adoptable dogs were previously stray dogs with little history, we cant be 100% sure of a dogs breed mix, and unless there is a specific date of birth listed, we cant be 100% sure of a dogs age. Additionally, our assessments of a dogs interactions with other dogs, cats, or children are based on OUR experiences. Your experience may differ.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
