MY AGE: approx. 1 year WEIGHT: approx.45 lbs. WHERE I AM FROM: AL

MY STORY:

The volunteers at Fluffy Dog Rescue absolutely adore Lillith. Shes been with us the longest of any of the dogs in our care currently, at just over a year. We rescued her and her brother (who was quickly adopted) at about 5 months old from an Alabama shelter. Since then shes been in our loving care while we patiently wait to find her the most perfect home.

Lillith is as bright and fun as a firecracker. She knows basic commands like "sit" and "come". She continues to improve on her leash manners and does best when shes wearing her Freedom Harness. Shes been content in her pen and likes to nibble on blankets like shes a baby with a pacifier. She loves toys and will do anything for a belly rub.

Although Lillith has had a few field trips with our volunteers to their homes, shes never "lived" in a real home environment. Being adopted is a huge transition for any dog, but its going to be a brand new wonderful world for Lillith. Her new family should treat her as if they have just adopted a puppy, with consistent training (ideally with a professional trainer), boundaries, and a set potty schedule. Lillith has never met a cat and we do not "cat test", so we cannot speak to how she would behave around one. Lillith can be selective about her canine companions. The most perfect home for Lillith would be one where shes the only dog, there are no young kids (she does jump up), and has family members that will keep her mind and body active. Bonus points if you have a hose or sprinkler - Lillith loves water!

ADOPTION FEE: $250

To adopt the FIRST STEP is to complete an APPLICATION.

Our dogs are located in foster homes throughout the state. We do not have a facility. Adopters must be 24 years old. We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN. Most of our dogs are strays, so the breed is our best guess.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
