Poor Coco was dumped at a local shelter in Texas by her owner and left to sit in a kennel for months while she watched the other dogs around her get adopted. She was so scared in the shelter environment that she would tremble so bad her ears would shake and her teeth would chatter. Coco patiently waited for someone to choose her, but her wait came to an end when she was put on the shelter’s euthanasia list for being there for 3 months with no interest. We stepped in to save her with only hours to spare! Coco is an approx 5 year old, spayed, Lab/Aussie mix, 55lbs, who is a super sweet girl. She is dog selective and with slow/proper introductions, she does best with laid-back male dogs of similar size to her. She would do best in a home with no cats or other small animals as she does like to chase them. She would love a yard to play in or someone to take her on walks. Coco walks good on a leash and takes treats gently. She is very smart and treat motivated. She potties outside and is used to a kennel. Coco is spayed, microchipped, and UTD on vaccines and monthly preventative. She had a rough time at the shelter and will need time to decompress in a home with someone that is patient and understanding of her past. Prior dog experience is a plus! She just wants to love and have a family again that she can trust. Can you open your home to sweet Coco and show her what real love is? She has been with us at the rescue in Texas since June and she would greatly benefit from a foster home or even better a forever home!! We are making a trip to Iowa October 7th and we would love to bring her along! If interested in Coco please send us an email or fill out our adoption application - information below. Coco’s adoption fee has even been sponsored to an approved home. Thank you! Adoption Application: https://form.jotform.com/222645266803053 Email: easttxhoofandpawrescue@yahoo.com
