Meet Mistletoe! Mistletoe is a 5 year old, 70 pound, Lab mix who is full of love and likes to give kisses but doesnt jump.

Mistletoe is a proud graduate of our Obedience program at North Central prison. She is staying at the prison until adoption so she doesnt forget her training. Adoptions must be done at the prison weekday afternoons per correction officers schedule.

Mistletoes trainer said this about her: Mistletoe is a beautiful black lsb/pit mix with a white stripe on her chest and a few white little toes. She can be very shy and weary of her surroundings at first. After a few weeks her wonderful personality starts shining through. She is very smart and well behaved. She knows all the commands Sit, Down, Up , Shake, Paw, Over, Bang, Heel, Come, Stay, Wait by voice or hand signs. She listens to the No and Leave it commands. While Mistletoe loves to eat she will wait until you tell her to chow down. Mistletoe can be somewhat skittish around loud things like lawnmowers and cars. She does not like her lower back petted rough or fast. She has lots of energy in the morning but as the days goes on she does get lazy. She loves early morning walks before the heats sets in. While Mistletoe does well with baths she isnt a fan of being wet so if its raining you might want to wait for walkie. She is crate trained and knows the word kennel. Some of her favorite things include chewing on bones, playing with balls and Kong toys. Laying her head on you and cuddles. Mistletoe loves to watch the things around her. Mistletoe has done well with dogs in the past but introduce her slowly and she has never been aggressive about her food. She would be great around kids. She listens very well and is happy and loyal watch that tail it goes crazy when she is happy. She is ready to become part of a loving family

. Mistletoe was briefly fostered when the kennel flooded. Her foster family said she was a good dog. She loved to give kisses, had a calm demeanor and barely barked. She was great around my kids ranging from 8 to 15. and slept in my daughter in her bed. She wouldnt jump hardly at all. She did not jumped up on people. She liked to cuddle on the couch
