My name is Holly Mae! 

I have been through a lot in my short life. I was completely shut down when I arrived in MN due to my past experiences. My foster family has been really patient with helping me to build my trust of people. I am still pretty shy and timid, but my foster mom thinks I will thrive with a loving and patient family. I do like my crate to be openly accessible if I get scared.

I am currently in a foster that has two other dogs and they are showing me that humans are not as scary as I think. I am warming up to them and do enjoy playing with them occasionally in my fenced in yard. I definitely need a fenced in yard in my forever home as I get spooked easily which makes me want to run and hide.

My crate is my safest place. I go there to seek comfort if a loud noise is made or if a new person I dont know comes into my space. I also sleep in my crate at night and hang out in there during the day when my family is at work. I love my crate and do great in there. 

My perfect family would be one that can be really patient with letting me adjust and lets me work through my fears on my own time. A family that doesnt have a ton of activity in the house would be best as a lot of activity and noise can be terrifying to me. I need a home with a fenced in yard so that I can stay safe and one with another dog so that Im motivated to keep building trust with humans. I am a really sweet girl once you get me out of my shell and am super lovable!

All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. If that is the case, the spay/neuter will be covered in the adoption fee and the owner will be responsible to have the procedure completed at a Warrior Dog Rescue Veterinarian at the appropriate time.

Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.
