This beautiful girl named Heidi came to us from Chicago Animal Control where she was found as a stray on the streets. She is about 3 years old and is just about 50 pounds. We couldnt resist her and knew she needed to be a Heartland pup! Heidi has a gorgeous brindle / silver/ coat to compliment her beautiful personality. She always makes us smile while shes in her kennel with the most enduring face that says "please take me out". She is generally quiet, but has started to let us know shes there by some barking here and there, but its not excessive or loud, just trying to get our attention. We think that Heidi will do best as a single dog to get all of your love and affection. She absolutely LOVES toys, and she loves to chew and shred them, so stuffies dont last long with her. She always loves tennis balls, and will carry one around on her walk so proudly. She will chew it up if left alone with it, so she is learning to give her tennis ball up after her walk by trading for treats. She is very smart and picking up on this very fast! An added bonus, our sweet girls adoption fee has been sponsored by an adoring volunteer! She is an all-around great gal and we cant wait to see her find the forever home she has been dreaming about. If youre interested in adopting or fostering Heidi, please email dogs@heartlandanimalshelter.org A bonus is that her adoption fee has already been sponsored by a generous donor!
