Aspen TX

In shelter Dog

Boonton, NJ, 07005
Pet name:
Aspen TX
Pit Bull Terrier
Aspen is a very sweet and friendly, goofy pup who is affectionate and loves getting pets. She is very food motivated & very gentle when taking treats. She gets along just fine with the 2 dogs in her foster home (one little, the other about Aspens size). Aspen has no guarding issues and no issue sharing treats with fosters dogs.

Aspen is about a year & a half old and weighs 50 lbs. She does really well in the crate, currently eating and sleeping in her crate. She seems to be housetrained and shes had no accidents in the house so far. She does her business immediately when taken outside. She is also great in the car, easy to bathe, sits for treats and comes when called.

At adoption events, Aspen will bark at other dogs, only because she wants to meet them. She loves playing with other dogs and will be a great companion for both humans and dogs. She has been very gentle when meeting kids of all ages. Her foster home has a 9 lb. dog and the two dogs have no problems sleeping and eating next to eat other but because of her size and playfulness, we recommend that Aspen go to a home with no small dogs or a home with one other playful dog her size.

Aspens NJ foster mom had a DNA test done on her. The results surprised us a bit but it looks like shes half Pit Bull/AmStaffie with maybe one quarter German Shepherd and then some Lab thrown in there, too. Whatever her mix, she is a beautiful girl & we hope she will soon find her forever home.

If youd like to meet her, please fill out an adoption application at and be sure to ask for ASPEN TX!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
