This sweet girl was rescued from the hot streets in a deplorable state of abuse and neglect. Our guess is she was dumped by a puppy mill after one or two litters in her short life. Amazingly after a rough start she is a sweet loving girl whose favorite spot is on her foster dad’s lap. She loves toys and playing fetch.
Etsy weighs 9.1 and needs another pound to be at her best weight. She in tiny and should never weigh over 10-10.5 pounds. She loves healthy treats like raw carrots and sweet potatoes
Etsy has no heath issues she does have nerve damage in the toes of her right foot, the result of hair or string wrapping around her foot. She will occasionally run as a tripo
She was severely matted, with spear grass under the skin like splinters that had to be surgically removed. Etsy is housetrained, She will do a dance at the door and learned to go in and out the dog door. She likes to play chase her foster brothers and get along well with other dogs.. Etsy is crate trained.
Etsy would love having someone home most of the time and to be part of a moderately active family. She loves being with her family.

** Please note: Due to their size, our dogs are not suitable for homes with children under 5..
We do not have a facility, all dogs are fostered in the homes of our volunteers. If you are interested in adopting a dog from Lil Paws Maltese Rescue and other Petite Paws, please visit our website at www.lilpaws-malteserescue.org and fill out an adoption application. This is the first step in our adoption process. Our goal is to place our dogs in safe, stable and loving homes in the Austin Metropolitan area. Thanks for looking!
Lil Paws Maltese Rescue and other Petite Paws depends on donations to keep the dogs in our program healthy. Many health issues are taken care of before a dog leaves a rescue: spaying, neutering, immunizations, dental care, and in some cases major surgery. Because of the cost of this care, donations are essential to enable us to continue our work. If you would like to show appreciation for what we do and help us continue to do it please go to our website homepage and click the donate button. We thank you in advance for your support.
