Dorothy - AVAILABLE

In shelter Dog

Seattle, WA, 98115
Pet name:
Hi world! My name is Dorothy and Im ready to find my forever home! I am such a special girl and am the gentlest, goofiest, and sweetest companion you will ever find!

\t- I am deaf in one ear, so I can have trouble localizing noises, have a bit of a head tilt, and can be a little clumsy at times, which I personally think just adds to my cuteness and charm!
\t- I LOVE other dogs. Pup friends are the best and playing with other dogs is one of my favorite activities! My play style can be a bit rough and tumble, so buddies who appreciate that would be awesome. Im good with dogs of all sizes though, and I live with a kitty in my foster home too!
\t- I adore physical affection and closeness to my people. My foster mom says the cutest thing I do is give her gentle little kisses while were waking up in the morning. I am all love!
\t- I can be nervous and shy with new people and in new situations, so my forever humans will need to continue working on confidence building with me. I promise to make you proud! Other dogs really help me be brave and I would do best with an outgoing canine sibling in my forever home.
\t- My foster mom says Im the BEST road trip partner. I sit nicely in the car and watch the world go by out the window.
\t- Im working on leash manners and basic training. When Im out on walks, I can get nervous sometimes and can try to bolt if something scares me, or I turn in circles. Positive reinforcement and hand signals for training are great for me, since only being able to hear in one ear can be super confusing for me at times.
\t- I am well-crate trained, and my crate is actually my safe place! When I get a little too overwhelmed, I retreat to my crate and watch whats going on. Im doing ok with potty training, but dont quite understand how to tell you that I need to go outside. Im trying really hard though and just need a patient person who will continue working with me. I promise Im worth it!

If youre looking for a playful, silly, special and sweet gal to add to your family pack, I could be for you!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
