Description:
Animal Profile: Buttercup is an estimated 7 month old, 35 lb spayed female "Texas Brown Dog" (likely Shepherd and Hound mix) who joined us from Texas on 7/15. She is smart, sweet and social with other dogs she has met. She is learning her manners, loves treats and is very responsive. Buttercup enjoys walks, belly rubs and playing with other dogs. Shes very good at "porch sitting." She is shy and alert with new people and will likely do better without her sister Biscuit. She was fostered in TX for six weeks prior to transport. She is crate trained, house trained, and does not exhibit separation anxiety. She gets along well with other dogs but does and acclimated to cats in her foster home after 2 weeks (curious but not aggressive), but does not have any known exposure to children.

Foster Update:
This long legged cuties perfect date would be a walk followed with some cuddles and a treat. Buttercup also loves being petted and relaxing near her people. She is a little nervous but curious to investigate new things.

Buttercup is potty trained. She enjoys having an in-house dog friend. Shes isnt aware of her size and likes to stand so its probably better for a family with older kids. We are working on crate training but Buttercup doesnt like being separated from the rest of the household.

Animal History: Buttercup and Biscuit were dumped in Rockport Texas and taken in by a good samaritan who got them into a vet. They will be transferred to DGS arriving to Seattle foster care on 7/15; she will be available for adoption once evaluated in foster care.
