Description:
Meet Meredith!

Meredith is an approximately 2 year old brindle dutch shepherd/staffy mix with the biggest heart. If you are looking for a gentle-natured dog or a friend for your current dog, look no further!

She comes from a very sad past, unfortunately. Somebody shot this sweet girl with a shotgun back when she was pregnant, but she (and her pups) miraculously survived with just some remnants of the shot beneath her skin. Understandably, she is very timid around people and unsure who to trust. She needs someone patient who can help her come out of her shell because when somebody finally pets her, she realizes how much she loves it. This girl is rising from the ashes, and with time were seeing her personality really shine! She wasnt sure how to be a dog when she first came to Saving Hope Rescue, but shes been watching and playing with her foster siblings and has started to see what its like to feel carefree. She absolutely loves having her dog friends around. They give her comfort and confidence and show her what to do.

She is low energy, quite the couch potato, and one of the most gentle-natured dogs Ive ever gotten to know. She is crate and house trained, and she walks perfectly on the leash, staying right beside or behind you the whole time without pulling. If you have it in your heart to give this girl a chance, she will make sure you dont regret it. She is just waiting to learn what love and family really feels like.

To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesnt obligate you, but it is the first step. We dont get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
