Meet Miss Marilyn Monroe! Aptly named after a true diva, Marilyn is as dramatic as they come.  She likes to cuddle and love on her people, but only on her terms. She loves to play, but she can be sensitive if it’s “too much”. And she plays well with dogs of all sizes, but she insists on being in charge.

Marilyn is a smart cookie and incredibly food motivated. No matter if shes napping or playing, shes always ready to work for a treat. She would love nothing more than to find an adopter who wants to teach her a bunch of tricks.

Marilyn is full of energy and enjoys going for long walks a few times a day. Shes excellent on leash and loves seeing where the next adventure will take her.

We believe Marilyn came from an abusive situation, because when she first came to us, she was fearful of being touched in certain places. She has nipped in the past, but after a lot of rehabbing, she is much more trusting. She thrives with structure and clear rules of what is expected from her to be a happy, well-balanced member of the family. Marilyn will need a confident adopter who is patient and experienced, and understands that rehabbing an abused dog is an ongoing process. We probably do not recommend a home with children.

We are volunteer based and will do our best to get back to you within 72 hours.  Please do not call as our phone is intended for emergencies only. If we feel that one of our dogs is a good match we will set up a private meet and greet  We do not have a physical location where you can come and meet all the dogs at once, so meet and greets may take a little time to coordinate.  Our requested adoption donation is $350 and all adopters are required to fill out an adoption agreement.
