Meet Penelope! This stunningly gorgeous (she is not tolerant of our attempts to start her modeling career and believes RBF face is the only face…) young lady is mom to Phineas, Patrick & Petra.

Although mama Penelope is really just a baby herself at maybe 8-10 months old… she is a take it or leave it kinda girl- we know she had a very rough life before coming into rescue. She has yet to accept pets of any sort- she just likes to be fed, take naps, watch birds and be left alone (we get it, we really do). She did made quite a lot of progress in her first foster home where she raised her babies and would come lay on the bed with her foster dad. Seeing her babies taken care of and safe has helped her come around however her kittens are off to their new homes and she is trying to adjust to her new foster family. She takes a while to adjust and is slow to warm up and trust so she will take some time and patience to adjust but we think with time she will blossom into a loving girl. We of course know that she may never warm up and just want you to deliver her snacks, clean her box and appreciate her beauty from a distance.

Update: She is slowly making big steps in her foster home, she has been with us for several months and we are hoping the right family for her will come along soon, she is so deserving of her own fur-ever home! Whiskers Fund is no stranger to scaredy cats and helping them trust humans and accept love so we are happy to help anyone with this!

If you think you are the right home for her please apply to adopt her here:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScq8ShXPVGLfrGHlIYMk0plgI_PJxOEMdr8QItpQMXYCnluvg/viewform

All of our animals are fully vetted before going to their furever homes. They are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, dewormed, up to date on flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and microchipped!

The adoption fee is $300

We do not accept deposits or the adoption fee until you have your new fur-members.

Please Note: All animals are posted until they are officially adopted. This animal may have other interested adopters in line.

We are very quick to respond and process applications! You will be required to provide 2 non family personal references, a home video tour and a vet reference if you’ve previously had animals. Please feel free to send video to our email or facebook upon submitting an application, this lets us know you are serious and ready but also helps us to get you approved quickly. We will text and or call upon receiving your application to schedule a phone interview.

You must be an approved adopter in order to go on meet and greets. This saves everyone’s time- especially our gracious foster families! This also allows for you to take the animals home from the meet and greet if you so choose.

Interested in fostering? We would love to have you join our family! Fill out the same application above- we have our fosters go through the same process as adopters!
