Description:
Hi there! My name is Seagan. I am a treeing walker coonhound mix (they think I have some chocolate lab in me). I was recently returned to HoundSong as I wasnt adjusting to the new baby in my adopted home. I get a bit too rambunctious around littles and will plow them over to see out the window or to chase a squirrel, so the folks at HoundSong think I would do best with older kids and/or adults. I do take a bit longer to warm up to men than women. Women seem calmer and sweeter, so I would love a home with all women. However, this is not a requirement because I am getting closer to the men in my foster home. They are showing me that men can be nice too.

I am around 4.5 years old and am a sweet, playful girl. I can be a little shy when I first meet you, but you will know I like you because my tail is always wagging. Once I know you are my person, I am a Velcro dog. I love to be with my people. I want to snuggle in bed and be touching you all the time. So if you adopt me, be ready to have a shadow. I am all about the petting and love! I am good with other dogs, and my foster mom thinks a playmate is a must for me. I also really need a 6ft fence. I am a very smart girl and can navigate over a smaller fence if given the opportunity. I also need a home without cats. My hunting drive kicks in when those little critters run from me. I am crate trained and house trained. I do okay on leash but will need continued training in this area (my foster mom is trying to help me with this too). Want to meet me? Contact the good folks at HoundSong!

Adoption Fee: $300
If you have questions about this dog, the adoption process, or are interested in meeting a dog, please visit www.houndsong.com and complete the adoption application. No meet and greets will be scheduled without the completion and approval of an adoption application. All our dogs live in foster homes, so a meet and greet will have to be scheduled with the foster family.

HoundSong Rescue dogs are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. HoundSong Rescue also offers Fi Collars for an additional $100 fee. Fi Collars are GPS collars with many other features we find valuable when owning a hound. Our amazing adoption coordinators will happily answer any questions you have in regards to the Fi Collar and the dog you are interested in adopting.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
