Mama Kaya is waiting for her forever home. She had 7 beautiful puppies whom have all been adopted. We believe she is possibly a White Swiss Shepherd and Great Pyrenees mix. She’s about 3 years old and weighs approximately 75 lbs. She’s crate trained, potty trained, spayed and up to date on her shots. She’s good with other dogs with proper intros and non-reactive to cats. She would do best with older children or very respectful dog savvy younger children, as she is still learning the world is not a scary place.

Kaya, two other females and two males were all abandoned on a property. We were initially able to rescue the other two females from the property who needed medical care. She and the males had to be taken to the shelter by animal control. Nobody knew she was pregnant until she started having babies a few days after arriving at the shelter. Luckily her wonderful foster mom, Michelle, stepped up as an emergency foster so that we were able to save her and her seven puppies. We were also able to eventually save the two males who were going to be euthanized for being scared. They were all essentially semi-feral, but they have come so far. The other two females, Bianca and Phoenix have been adopted. Now it’s Kaya, Regis and Emmyr’s turn.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
