Description:
Mason came to us from a shelter after he was adopted out and returned for chasing the cats and not doing well with other male dogs in the home. These two behaviors are typical for the breed.

Mason is an energetic male Malamute that will thrive in an active home. He walks nicely on a leash and recovers nicely when he sees another dog. Typical Malamute is attracted to chase critters, but with proper distance and delicious treats, he redirects his attention to you. He will need continued training and would love to be involved in sports activities because he is super smart and always ready to learn something new. He is a sweet boy full of Mally personality. He may be able to live with a female dog companion who can match his energy and might be beneficial to him as well. No small animals or cats.

If you are interested in adopting or fostering this dog, please complete an application online via our website: https://www.chaamp.org/ or email: CHAAMPapplication@gmail.com for an application.

Your application helps CHAAMP determine a good match based upon your lifestyle, other pets, etc. We are happy to work with you. A home visit is required prior to all adoptions. You can visit the Malamutes once youre approved for adoption. Alternatively, you may volunteer and learn how positive reinforcement brings out the best in Malamutes.

CHAAMP accepts applications from Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington DC.

ADOPTION FEES
~Adult dogs (two - seven years old): $275.00
~Older dogs (eight years old or over): $100.00
~Puppies (6 months - 1 year): $350.00
~Puppies (under 6 months): $375.00

All Malamutes are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccines. Adoption fees help us cover these costs. Puppy fees are higher because they require more vet visits for vaccines.
