Gus, 1 year old, neutered male, Staffordshire mix, 73 lbs. He is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX and can transport to an approved adopter.
Gus is a young active dog who is looking for an active home. He is so happy and wiggly!
He really enjoys running in the backyard or going on walks. He would make a wonderful adventure buddy. He pulls a little on leash, but overall does well. He rides great in the car.
He shares a home with other dogs and does great with an active male dog. He will wrestle and run around with the other dog. He would do best with another active dog.
He has been around kids ages 2-8 years old. Due to his energy and occasional jumping up, we recommend a home with kids 12 years and older.
Gus would benefit from someone willing to work on basic obedience. He can be mouthy at times and is easily redirectable. He needs an outlet for his moderate energy or he does get bored. Again, he is a year old pup!
Gus is housebroken and will go in a crate.
He is very smart and trainable. He is very curious when out on walks. He will chase a butterfly or follow a bug crawling along the sidewalk.
He takes treats gently and LOVES squeaky toys. He also loves to play fetch. When really excited he has a high pitched bark. He also loves to chase the sprinkler/water hose.
We have no history with cats.
