** This is a courtesy post for another rescue here in Houston that is seeking help with getting Buck adopted out of state. We have included all information that is known about this sweet boy**

Meet Buck.

Buck was a victim of cruelty back in November. He was shot in the face, chest and body and has over 200 pellets in his body.

You’d think Buck would be afraid of humans and avoid them due to the incident but he actually seeks affection and he LOVES people. That traumatic event may have affected him physically, but he refused to let it affect him mentally.

Buck recovered from his injuries but he was also high heartworm positive so heartworm treatment became the priority. He recently finished treatment (which he took like a champ).

Here’s what his foster says about him: “Are you looking for your shadow? A companion for all your adventures, even the ones on the couch? The love machine Buck is available for adoption! This poundcake just wants a lap to be cradled in. Doesn’t matter if it’s in a motor home, an apartment, or a secluded log cabin, he is flexible. Bucks love goes a long way, he is looking for a serious relationship where he can spoil his humans with love and grow old together. As a hopeless romantic, he enjoys bubble baths and long walks on the beach. As a supportive lover he wants you to build your career and so can be independent at home using a dog door or napping in his room waiting for you to bring home the bacon. He does try to pull his own weight around the house by breaking down recycling, posing for pictures to get sponsorships, and protecting the home from squirrels. He wants to get to know you and share all his stories with you. And this man has THE craziest stories as a gun violence and heart worm survivor. He doesn’t let anything bring him down, always a goofball.”

All PETronus Rescue dogs receive basic vaccinations (distemper/parvo, bordetella, & rabies), spay/ neuter, and microchip prior to adoption. We also treat any know medical issues, including heartworms.

Our dogs live in foster homes while they wait patiently for their forever families to find them. This is beneficial in that they learn house manners, crate training, housebreaking, etc while they wait and we are also able to get a very realistic picture of their energy level, temperament, etc so that we can place them in a home that is the best fit.

We are located in Houston, TX, but list our dogs for adoption in the Houston area as well as OR, WA, and MT. A transport fee of $250 applies to dogs adopted out of the Houston area. Our adoption fees are $200 for dogs over 1 year of age and $250 for dogs under 1 year of age. Puppies receive 3 rounds of puppy vaccinations.

If you are interested in adopting one of our amazing dogs, please fill out our adoption application here http://bit.ly/PRAdoption and we will be in touch!
