Description:
CHOWDA - 3 yo Male American PitBull Terrier

We fostered Chowda for 3 weeks as he was recovering from Parvo, before finally falling in love with him and deciding to keep him for good. It was one of the best decisions we made. Chowda is an excellent dog, smart, eager to learn and to please. He learned all the tricks we taught him. He knows to sit, paw, up, down, turn around and play dead. If you give him treats, he will learn anything you want.

He is also completely housebroken, so as long as he is healthy and gets his bathroom brakes he will not relieve himself inside the house. We live in an apartment, and have no issues as long as we take him out for a little walk in the morning, noon and evening.

This dog knows he is not supposed to destroy furniture, shoes and other things inside the house. In the beginning he chewed up a few things, but we consistently corrected him, and he quickly understood. It helps that hes got plenty of toys for chewing. In any case, he is used to sleeping locked up in his crate, so you can be sure there will be no surprises in the morning.

Chowda does great with people. He can be very energetic, but can also be a complete couch potato and sleep the whole day waiting for his master. Being a Pitbull, he needs a minimum dose of daily exercise, though either through playing or sports.

A lot of dogs are protective of their toys or food, but Chowda will simply give you a manatee stare if you do that. He allows you to do anything to him.

However, Chowda is a single pet. He does not do well with other animals, and has to be kept apart from them, especially other dogs. We have been working this out with a trainer for almost 2 years and he made a lot of progress, but we cant change instinct, so a good leash, muzzle and fence are necessities.

Chowda is located in Texas but can be adopted out of state or to Canada. if interested in adopting please visit our website www.bravebullyrescue.org and fill out our adoption application.
