Description:
Hi, my name is Duke! I am approximately 8 years old and weigh 8 pounds. The vet thinks I am a Chihuahua. I am a sweet, funny, friendly guy, and absolutely love and adore humans. I just want a furever home where I can be your best friend and companion! I promise I will make you laugh, keep you company, and wiggle my whole body when I greet you at the door or when we wake up in the morning. I also really hope you want to relax because I love to cuddle and have big dreams of being your very own, little couch potato. Extra points if we get to watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy together!! I should also share, that one of my most favorite things my fosters love about me, is how my tongue sticks out of my mouth and they think it’s the cutest “blep” ever.

I do enjoy walking around the neighborhood and sniffing for new smells! I am great on a leash and love to wear sweaters to keep me warm on cooler days! Although I would like my own yard, I would be a good apartment/townhome/condo pup. I don’t need a ton of room to run and am pretty quiet in my crate, when my fosters are gone for a short time. I love to be out and about and I have never met a human I don’t like. It’s all about the love with me. My foster family also takes me lots of places and I do great out in public. I also love car rides and am quiet and very polite (no back seat driving with me). I am a good boy and quickly learning some new tricks, like sit, stay, and come. I am house trained and crate trained. I have never had an accident in my crate or in my fosters house. They think I’m a catch!

A little about my history… I came into rescue after I was found wandering around a neighborhood before a nice ZOEY family scooped me up out of the middle of the road and brought me into the rescue. They diligently looked into my past and couldn’t find my previous owners so here I am, ready for my next adventure and forever home. I will mention that I was pretty underweight when they found me (bring on the snacks) and like I mentioned before, have some visual impairments but that does slow me down one bit! I can nagivate my home really well (including the stairs and doggy door) and play with toys, eat tasty food and snack on delicious treats without any problem!

I am working on my health as I need to gain a few pounds (my fosters are feeding me lots of tasty food) and I have an appointment to get microchipped, neutered, and my teeth cleaned. I’m up to date on my vaccines and am an all-around healthy, happy boy! So if you’re interested in me, please have your people contact my people!

P.S. Did anyone mention I like to snuggle and I am so sweet?

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
