This little boy we think looks like a dachshund mix, he has black hair follicular dysplasia , it’s a condition that is sometimes found in tri-color dogs and prevents the black hair from growing , it’s usually a genetic condition and means that the black portions of his coat are smooth
He doesn’t need meds or any vets care it’s just the way he is
He is approx 4 yrs and 16 lbs
He did have heartworms when we rescued him and has been treated with the injections per the American heartworm Society , we usually find the dogs test clear in approx 4- 6 months
He has been started on monthly heartguard and nexguard and will need to stay on them for at least a year
He overall is a good dog except when it comes to food with the other dogs and then can become aggressive , he loves to run and play but can be mean and we believe he would do best as an only dog
He will follow his foster everywhere and will sit at her feet when she is sitting down, he walks well on a leash and likes going on walks and riding in the car
He takes a while to warm up to new people and loves to eat
He seems to be pretty well house trained and is very smart he learns very quickly and would love a home with someone who can take him on walks

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
