Whats cookin? My name is Simba and I am a 3-year-old French Mastiff. The first time I was at MaxFund I was brought in because my owners didnt have time for me any longer, but I thought I had found my furever home, only to be brought back here because my owners went through some life changes. I dont know what I did wrong? I am such a loving guy! I just love spending time with my humans!

Dogs are not always my favorite. I get along with some dogs here at the shelter, but not everyone. It would be best for me to be the only dog in the household. I am working on being less reactive towards dogs that I meet out walking. My breed is known for being very protective, so I tend to be protective when I meet other dogs. I need to go to a home with an owner, who has had a dog like me before because I need some help learning when I dont have to be protective.

Ive been working with the trainer here to help me with some of my manners. I would like my new family to work with the trainer before taking me home, just because we can both learn a bunch and build an even stronger bond!

I will do pretty much anything for a treat! And let me tell you, I am very smart! As long as you have some treats in your hand, I am your best friend! I also really like my chew toys! They keep me busy for a really long time and I just have the time of my life when I get to play with them! When I play I dont always know my size and strength, so I should not go to a home with young children.

I might be a big, buff dude but I am not a dog who needs tons of exercise. I am happy with some nice walks and a few play sessions a day. No need to take me running or hiking if thats not something you do.

My perfect home is one where I will have a big backyard and a 6ft fence! Just because at the moment going on walks is still difficult for me. I need an owner who understands me, will provide me with structure, and is willing to learn together! The more experience you have with dogs the better! And of course, someone who wants to snuggle with me too! I am the biggest snuggle bug you will ever meet! If you think you will be my final furever home, please come and visit me!
