COSMOS Male, approximately 2 years old
If you would like to apply to be the new family for Cosmos,
ADOPTION APPLICATION FORMS ARE ON OUR WEBSITE so please follow this link:
Cosmos is a funny and playful young cat who will be an entertaining addition to a patient new family. He is more sass than snuggles, but he loves quiet company and is very interested in other cats.
Cosmos was a scared stray when he came to CR PAWS. He was shy but willing to try being friends with his caregivers. When he arrived at his foster home, he spent a couple of weeks hiding and swatting when approached. He gradually warmed up thanks to the brush that is his favourite thing in the world. Next best is playing with things on strings, so if you have a brush or a cat wand toy in your hand you are his instant best friend.
Cosmos now runs to the door when his people arrive and stays nearby as long as they’re in the room. He allows petting as long as you follow his rules for how to do it and when to stop. He used to hide from strangers but has recently responded more quickly to friendly visitors.
Cosmos is roommates with a scared young female who spends most of her time in her cage. He would love to be friends and play with her and she lets him get quite close, but when she has had enough he respects her boundaries.
This cute and charming guy would be happiest in a quiet home with a patient guardian who has lots of time to hang out. He is not going to be a lap cat any time soon, but once he knows you he does allow you to pick him up and hold him briefly. He might be OK with calm older children or with another cat who is not intimidated by his playfulness.
