Yam and his littermates Cassava & Turnip were rescued from a not so good barn situation. This older farmer had 10 kittens from 2 different litters running around and had gathered them up in a big carrier. They were about 10 weeks at the time so needed some socialization. They were split up to different foster homes for more one on one time. Yam has been flea treated twice, dewormed twice, received 2 sets of FVCRP vaccines plus his rabies, neutered and microchipped. His foster mom says "he is an incredibly sweet little boy who is filled with energy. He loves to play at any given moment but also loves to cuddle. He especially loves sleeping on your lap while watching TV. He is very brave so he doesnt take long to warm up and loves everyone he meets." His adoption fee is $225 but October 1st it will increase to $275 to reflect the increase in adoption fee when a booster vaccine has been given. Yam loves playing with his littermates so it would be nice if he found a home with one of them if not he MUST go to a home with another young cat ( under 3 ) or kitten to keep him company, cuddle with and show him the ropes. Two is better than one, twice the fun and 1/2 the work. It is recommended that he starts out in a small safe room at first with food, litter and toys til he adjusts to his new surroundings. AVA has an indoor and no declaw policy. Little kittens are NOT appropriate for children under 6.
