Bretzels was in a foster family in Quebec city, under another shelters juridiction who unfortunately had to close its doors. Bretzels is a cat with whom we need to be gentle and patient. He does not like to be handled, but he accepts cuddles on his head and under his chin. He is a shy cat who cohabits well with the other cats in the shelter. Therefore, even if he carries FIV, he is not a danger for other cats. For more information about FIV: https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv Having a feline companion would be a plus for Bretzels adoption. This beautiful cat is very discreet and likes to have heights dedicated to him. He is looking for a sweet and loving family who will understand his limitations and simply want to give him the best for his long and beautiful life as a cat. Bretzels adaptation will certainly take some time, so his future family will have to be willing to collaborate with our feline behavior consultant to ensure the best possible future for him. Bretzels accepts cuddles, but when surprised he may hiss. He will not be able to live with children of course. Bretzels is 3 years old so the adoption fees for him are $270. He is sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped. He is positive for the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) but negative for the feline leukaemia virus (FeLV). Health insurances are offered for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the help of the adoption team as long as you need it. You will also have access to a video consultation during the first month following adoption with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood (https://www.felinegood.ca).

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
