***IN FOSTER***

All roads lead to Jerome!

Or at least, some roads in Hamilton seemed to, since Jerome was scooped up from the streets. Not too much is known about his past outside of this, but it is possible that Jerome has seen some things, as he’s been a quiet and shy guy ever since. However, Jerome has really warmed up to life indoors. He has become very attached to following his foster pawrent around and having his pick of cat toys to play with. Jerome currently awaits a furrrever home with a new pawrent to shower them with his affection and purrs.

It’s safe to say that Jerome is a little timid. When introduced to a new environment, he tends to hide in his cat cubby where it’s nice and safe. Yet, as Jerome has become more comfortable in his foster home, he has blossomed into a whole new cat. While still nervous around strangers and afraid of loud noises, Jerome confidently walks around his foster house and has been described as super sweet and lovely by his foster. Jerome loves toys and can regularly be seen playing with catnip toys, laser pointers, toy mice, wand toys and scratching posts. He regularly follows his foster parent around the house, purring for attention and head pets. In the morning, he will sometimes lay on top of his foster to let them know he’s ready for food and if he’s especially hungry he might get vocal to drive the point home.

Jerome would prefer a calm, quiet home with a patient owner that is willing to take their time as he gets used to his new environment. Once he’s comfortable, he’s as sweet and friendly a cat as there is. Jerome does well with friendly cats and likes to sleep and play with the resident cat at his foster home. As he can be startled by sudden, loud noises, he would do best in a home without small children.
