Yahtzee is a sweet, loving mature cat with special needs. He is blind. He is gentle and well-mannered. He is a lap cat and has a sweet chirping call when he seeks out his brother, Iggy, or human companions. He gets along with others and will do best adopted with his brother. He will fit best in a calm family that can give him the extra attention he needs.

HOW TO START THE ADOPTIONS PROCESS:

FOR SERIOUS INQUIRIES (and immediate response) please go online to lostpawsrescueoftexas.org and fill out an adoption profile (under forms tab) and submit it. We give priority to completed applications. 

TIMING:

Lost Paws offers same-day adoptions BY APPOINTMENT ONLY at this time (the is no waiting period – kitties can go home the same day you meet them). We do not ship our cats. – no exceptions. Throughout the week, we will set up an appointment to meet with an approved applicant and at the foster parents convenience (we all have F/T jobs too).

ADOPTION FEE:

The adoption fee ranges based on the age of the cat. The adoption fee covers FIV/FeLeuk testing (all cats must test negative to be adopted), 2 rounds of FVRCP and FeLeuk vaccinations, rabies, and (age-appropriate) spay/neuter surgery (if not sterilized before they are adopted), deworming, treatment for ear mites (if applicable), nails trimmed and have been bathed. We also offer courtesy nail trims on the weekends we are at Petsmart. Our associated vet list consists of 10 vets within the DFW area for your convenience.

Adoption events are held on one Saturday of every month from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM at the Lewisville PetSmart location. The address is 2325 S. Stemmons Freeway.

AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
