Nevin is a young, classically handsome domestic shorthair with a jet black coat, a diamond necklace around his neck and dinner plate eyes! He is an exceptional cat - grounded, confident, affectionate and adaptable. However, Nevins natural curiosity, energy and desire for human attention quickly turn into boredom, and he finds ways to entertain himself — usually by escaping through whatever door he feels is holding him back from his best life.
Nevin needs someone who is mindful of his door-dashing behavior and can provide the socialization, enrichment and adventure he craves. Ideas include teaching him to walk on a harness and leash, clicker training him and providing one-on-one playtime. Nevin would benefit from an indoor environment that is as exciting and rewarding as possible, with cat trees in front of windows or bird feeders outside those windows. He would like plenty of opportunities to hunt, chase and explore within the home. Puzzle feeders and interactive toys can engage his hunting instincts.
These are just some ideas we feel would help Nevin. He is a wonderful cat. Were hoping to find a cat lover who will cherish him and give him a safe, enriching and healthy home. Nevin likes company and cuddling in bed. Extremely smart. His only dislike however is other cats. He would treasure the opportunity to be your one and only. Hoping to find cat lovers who will cherish him and give him a safe, happy and healthy home for the rest of his days. Born 11/9/2019
