Description:
Update September 21st - Larry and Fred are at the Pet Valu, 1900 King St E in the King/Rose Plaza. Please not that we do NOT adopt out a single kitten unless there is already another kitten or young cat ( under 3 years ) in the home - no exceptions.
Please read Larrys biography and requirements needed for adopting. If you think he would be a good match and you meet the criteria then please go to avacats.org and fill out an online application form, an adoption coordinator will be in touch.
Larry, Leo ( adopted ) , Linus ( adopted), Ricky (adopted ) & Fred came in to our rescue about a month ago. We were asked by a woman if we could take the kittens to find homes as they were too much for them, but they were keeping mom and had her booked in for spay etc at the SPCA, The kittens were full of fleas so they went to our vet for flea treatment/ They have been dewormed twice, received his 1st FVCRP vaccine and microchip. His 2nd FVCRP vaccine then rabies is the responsiblity of his new owner and must be completed prior to his neuter by AVA at 5 months which is included in his $225 adoption fee. Larry is a very social, playful, friendly non stop purr machine. He loves to play with his toys, and cuddle on your lap. He would be great with older children. He loves to play and cuddle with Fred so it would be great if he could find a home with him if not he MUST go to a home with another kitten or young cat (under 3 ) that he can bond with, keep him company and show him the ropes. Two is better than one, twice the fun and 1/2 the work. It is recommended that he starts out in a small safe room at first with food, litter and toys til he adjusts to his new surroundings. AVA has an indoor and no declaw policy. Little kittens are NOT appropriate for children under 6.
. If you are interested, we ask that you fill out an online application form at avacats.org/adopt/adoption-form. Please choose the location that says “Pet Valu, Global, foster homes Hamilton, Ancaster, Burlington.” Once we receive the application, you will receive a phone call for a telephone interview. Once you are approved for adoption,a meeting will be arranged at the Pet Valu.
