Description:
Hi everyone,
Hootie here. My foster mom calls me Hoot Hoot. I would like to tell you all about me and my brother Blowfish. Well, we were living in deplorable conditions in a home when we were confiscated by animal control officers. Man, that was super scary. We were then impounded and had to live in separate cages. This did not help us to feel comfortable, at all. We kind of acted like feral cats initially upon impoundment. Given time, we each settled and started to show our true loving nature. A volunteer with SCP saw us initially and told us she would be back to see us after we settled from the trauma. She also had to wait until the judge released us to shelter custody. When she came back, guess what? We were ready! We purred, we rolled, we head-butted. She took us home and we were reunited! Once reunited, instant love again. We groomed each other and snuggled up close. Having gone through all of that, we need to find a forever home together - we help each other to be confident. Our white paws are still stained yellow from urine, however, we are putting on weight and learning about love. We are great with other kitties and seem to be fine with dogs. We were impounded with dogs as well. We play and wrestle and groom each other a lot. We have cool markings, at least we are told, and are shaded silver tabby guys. If you would like to add some affection to your home, we are your guys. We will shower our person with love. We do like to play in our water bowl and can be a little messy with that:) There is just something about having plenty of water..... I was named Hootie because I am told I look little an owl? Hey, I cannot help that! Whatever, I love it.
Come meet us one Saturday at the Clear Lake Petco!
Love,
H
