Gordon is a special cat whos looking for a special adopter.

Gordon was born into an outdoor colony and taken into rescue at a young age. Unfortunately, he has remained reserved and hesitant around humans. He is not feral. He is happy to see people he knows and will take food from your hand. He, however, is still afraid of being touched.

Gordon is amazing with other cats. He is happy to snuggle up with anyone who agrees and will run around and play as well. Hes been a good friend to several of our other shelter cats who have felt they needed to retreat from the group (we have an open kennel environment).

Gordons sister had a similar personality and is thriving in a home with multiple other cats and a patient, experienced cat owner. Were hoping to find a similar situation for Gordon. Hes still young (only a year old), so we believe with more consistent attention than what we can offer in a kennel environment, he can learn to be an amazing pet. He has a heart of gold, and you can tell hes trying. He just needs a special person to help him along in his journey. Adopters will need to have another cat-friendly cat at home to help him continue learning how to be a cat. This has been a very important component of his growth thus far.

All of our adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, FIV/FELV negative, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea treated.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
