Additional Information: Bellamy is a long and lean 5-month-old kitten. He first came to DC as part of a very shy litter of kittens who werent so sure about these humans. While his progress was slow, he has developed into a very happy go lucky little guy who is just a wee bit jumpy. He does love pets and snuggles, but he has to be a bit tuckered out to accept them. So good thing that Bellamy is a high energy kitten who is very food motivated! He is constantly running around with his siblings and he loves playing. His favorite toys are bouncy balls and wand toys. He seems to always be growing, so is a bit clumsy for now, but that just adds to his charm.

Bellamy does well with other cats, as well as his siblings. His sister Octavia has to go with either Clarke or Bellamy. Bellamy is still a bit jumpy so might do best in a quieter home. Do you think you have the right home for Bellamy? Apply today to meet Bellamy (and maybe the rest of his siblings, too)!

You can see more of Bellamy on Instagram under the hashtag #BouncyBellamy.

The Kittens have age-appropriate vetting to date, which includes a veterinary exam, deworming, microchip, and the first FVRCP vaccine. An adopter will need to agree to cover costs of spay/neuter when he/she is age-appropriate (usually 16-20 weeks) and will need to continue his/her kitten vaccines (including rabies) as he/she grows older. Kittens under 12 weeks of age must be adopted in pairs or to a home with friendly resident feline. They will not be considered as singles.

If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is a foster based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR&CK has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first served model).

Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter (unless specified). We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDR&CK. City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Cat specific: Rabies, FVRCP, Feline Leukemia vaccines. They are tested for FIV and FeLV, when age appropriate, but not when born to a negative mother in foster care.

Most cats and dogs will have a house training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.

We also update our Facebook page daily with new cats and dogs.
