Meet Stallone: this gorgeous Golden Retriever/Shepherd/Chow Mix (we think) came to us as an owner surrender just before he was headed to the pound. He had spend the majority of his previous life outside in a not-so-large yard and while he is quite people friendly and outgoing, he doesnt know a lot about house rules and polite leash walking and people greeting. He is very much a "Diamond in the rough with a little dirt on it", he is food motivated and learns quickly, but is also a little stubborn and single-minded: he LOVES squirrels - likely one of his few entertainments in his small yard. He gets along well with other dogs after proper introduction - due to his lack of knowledge of rules and manners he tends to be inappropriate and a little "humpy". He is reasonably polite when meeting other dogs but would much prefer to be the only dog in his home.

Stallone is looking for a moderately dog-experienced home without another dog in it, older kids may be fine. He has moderate exercise requirements and a good daily walk should suffice for him.

***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
