Description:
Woody is a sweet, silly, easy-going boy who can be a little timid when meeting new people and dogs, but quickly warms up and then loves to play! He loves toys and will even fetch when particularly feeling playful, but is equally content to snooze or play with a toy quietly on his own. He gets along wonderfully with all three of his foster dog siblings, cuddling together and having short play sessions throughout the day. Woody is great with kids - hes very calm, wont knock them down and loves watching over them as they play. He loves riding in the car, walks well on a leash, and is house trained. He doesnt do well in a crate, but doesnt need one as he is a perfect gentleman when left free to roam the house without supervision, even greeting his foster mom with gentle hugs and kisses when she comes home :) He is food-driven and learning not to counter surf, but is very receptive to redirection and positive reinforcement. Woody knows a few commands and loves living the pampered life. He came with heavily matted fur and had to be clipped, so his coat will fill out more over time, but he sits well for nail clippings, being brushed, and especially loves having his paws massaged with moisturizing paw butter. Woody is very happy to have made the transition to indoor pup, and will thrive with a family who has lots of snuggles, toys, and forehead kisses to give!

For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
