Hi! My name is Beans! One night, I got out of the house where I was staying and I ran in front of a volunteers car. I scared her nearly half to death because she thought she hit me (to be fair, she scared me, too!). But she sat down on the side of the road to show me she was trying to help me, and I got in the car with her. Turns out, almost getting hit was the best thing that happened to me. I have never been to the vet, even though I am about 3 yrs old, so I have heartworms which would have killed me without treatment. The good news is that treatment is included in my adoption fee at no extra cost to whomever decides to be my forever family. Everyone that meets me says I am nearly perfect, so I am not sure why I dont have a family yet. I think its because people think I am bigger than I am. So I took some pictures(well, my foster people did because...no opposable thumbs). Anyway, as you can see, using my foster moms big dog as a reference...I am pint-sized. Also, I like toys, frog-dogging and sofa snuggles. I like humans of all ages and sizes...same for dogs. Cats are weird-looking, but I can deal. If you are interested in me, you can request a meeting by filling out this form: bit.ly/PASDogAdoptApp (Dont worry. There are no strings attached....you wont be stuck with me. This just helps to find out if we are match) More info at my webpage: bit.ly/BeansPAS Adoptions include a foster period of 4-6 weeks so that you can be sure that this pet is a good fit without any pressure, and we are available to answer any behavior or training questions during that time (and beyond, if you wish). ** Local adoptions preferred (within Greater New Orleans area and surrounding parishes). We do not ship animals, as a part of our adoption process is for the potential adopter(s) to meet the dog to assess if he/she is a match for the family.
