Kind CJ has lots of love to give and will make an excellent family pet. CJ is a one year old Labrador mix brought to the shelter with Oreo and not claimed. CJ is calm with a gentle sweet energy. He is a little shy at first, but warms up quickly with love and attention. He’s a happy dog and enjoys cooling off in the kiddie pool after playing in the dog parks. CJ is heart worm positive and will be treated by the shelter without negative effects. He may still be adopted, and he would love a home support team during recovery.Did you notice he has one blue eye and one light green eye? Pretty neat! CJ is a wonderful dog and will be a great family addition. Pick CJ to adopt today!
(CJ and Oreo are buddies, but not a bonded pair.)

CJ’s adoption fee is $100.00 and this includes sterilization, shots, and worming with an optional microchipping and registration for an additional $20.00. We have a dog park to check compatibility with existing dogs. Fill out an adoption application at If your application is approved, a volunteer will contact you to set up a meet and greet appointment. The adoption application is NOT on Petfinders. You must apply on our shelter website.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
