Meet handsome Boone who is about 1 year old and is a Lab/Chow mix. Our wish for Boone is to find a family that gets him to cuddle, that understands how sweet he can be and can bring out his love. Boone is a picky guy who loves kids and puppies, but can be iffy on certain people and dogs unless hes slowly introduced to them. He prefers to sit and watch new people and dogs before meeting them face to face. Boone does great with dogs his size and small dogs that he knows. But new dogs that are smaller than him, he feels unsure about. Boone does great in a crate, learned how to sit and is working on learning other commands. Boone loves to cuddle once he gets to know you and will push his head against you just to be near you. Boone loves long walks and rides in the car. Boone is great on leash, is potty trained and uses a doggie door. He really just needs a family who will have the patience to get to know him and get him to open up to them. Boone would be great for a single lady or maybe a mom with older kids (because he will push to get close). He would do well as an only dog in the family or with one other dog sibling. Boone has some quirks and cant wait for the perfect person to love him forever. Pupdate: Boone is still available for adoption! His foster mom says, If I could keep him, I would in a heartbeat. We end every night with snuggle time. He has to get his cuddles in with me. And he lets me know if hes not done. He does very well with the crate. He uses a doggy door. He is good with our kids and dogs. But he is picky and theres no rhyme or reason to it. Boone does not do well at events. Theres too much going on and he is not comfortable. Boone can only do meet and greets. I know we can find him the perfect family, maybe yours?
