Don’t let Mr. McFlea’s name put you off….our sweet fella is a Jack-of-all-things-wonderful! This strikingly handsome Labrador Retriever/Shepherd mix is approximately 4 years old and is a medium-sized dog weighing around 44 pounds. Jack has the most gorgeous chocolatey brown coat that is broken up only by the white on his chest, underside, and the tiny bits of white on his paws. But it’s his eyes that will grab you and hold you spellbound…Jack has the most captivating and fascinating eye color – a clear, light amber that in some lights takes on a hint of translucent green.

Jack McFlea was pulled from our local animal shelter where he had been picked up as a stray and no one came to claim him after being there several weeks. He has a gentle, yet playful disposition and loves to be the recipient of all the petting that he can get from you…in fact, he will place his paw, ever so gently, on you as if to plead with you to give him the love he so desperately craves. This precious angel needs the reassurance, love, and security that a family of his own will finally give him. Jack is sweet, friendly, loving, and is looking for a home to call his own and a couch to relax on day after day! He is the perfect companion pet!

He has a nice energy level and likes to be outside so he can enjoy the day, but he will need a fenced yard if left outside unattended at all. However, Jack is not to be an outside dog only as he definitely likes to be with his people and needs the comfort and love of being surrounded by his family, so he will be okay in an apartment setting provided he gets plenty of daily exercise. Jack should make a great family pet and should be good with children ages 8 and older. He did fine with the other dogs he has been tested with so far. We have started on his crate training. Jack is up to date on his vet care, is heartworm negative, is microchipped, and is scheduled to be neutered soon. He is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

Come meet Jack McFlea and be ready to have your heart stolen the minute you lock eyes with this sweet, gorgeous boy!

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
