Handsome Ben came to us as a stray and no matter how many barkaritas we have together, he isnt giving up much information about his past.  Ben is old fashioned and likes to take things slow with new people; he warms up to women faster than men and you will likely have to visit him multiple times to get to know him before bringing him home.  Once he knows you, he is a total goofball!  Ben has a best friend at the shelter (a young, large female dog) and we think he would do well in a home with another dog.  He appears to be housebroken, as his kennel is always immaculate. He has not had any exposure to cats.  Because of his apprehension with new people, Ben is looking for a quiet home with adults. He is quite large in size but is really gentle and well mannered. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is required before bringing Ben home.
