a note from Maxs handlers "Max is very people friendly. He knows the command to sit. He knows to stay. He is currently working on leash control." 4/22/22--Max is currently housed and enrolled in the Puppies for Parole Program at the Boonville Correction Center where (s)he will stay for 8 weeks of basic obedience training. (S)He will learn commands such as “sit”, “stay”, “heel”, “come”, etc. (S)He will learn crate and house training. Max will be available for adoption while (s) he is in the Program, but will not be released to his/her new adopting family until the end of the 8 weeks when (s)he graduates. The adoption fee for a Puppies for Parole dog is $100. For questions regarding adoptions, call the Marshall Animal Shelter at (660)831-0420 Max was given up by his family due to living arrangements. He is a sweet, smart boy who absolutely adores kids. He prefers to sleep in bed with the children. Max, like many shelter dogs, prefers to meet people outside of his kennel, stop in and ask to play with him out in the yard to really see this handsome blue eyed boy shine!
