Cane is a doggo that has it all: the looks, the brains, and the personality to boot! Cane learned all his basic manners and so much more in the Making Pawsitive Changes Program; he is a real whiz kid and his handlers were so sad to see him go. Cane made a couple dog friends in the program but can be particular about who he wants to play with so we are seeking a home where Cane can be the one and only. Cane needs someone that can continue working on his training in the home. He still gets overexcited when new people are around and when there is a lot of movement going on- he wants to join in on the fun by jumping and being rowdy. These situations are the perfect time to use and build upon what he learned in the program; his "place" cue would be appropriate in these circumstances. Cane is looking for a home with older teens and above. He will require regular exercise and "brain games" to keep him mentally and physically stimulated. Cane does not want to share a home with cats. Cane is more than ready to meet you- if you feel the same, call the shelter at 906 632 2519 to set up an appointment. For the quickest response to inquiries, please call as the inquiries submitted through Petfinder and Facebook are not monitored on a regular basis.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
