Pet name:
Pickles (CP)
Tricolor (Brown, Black, & White)
Hello, my name is Pickles, I am 5 years young. I came to HSNT back in April 2021 because my previous owner had way too many other dogs and animal welfare professionals had to step in.

Sometimes I take a longer time to open up and trust humans but Ive just been through a lot and I need my forever family to understand that. I feel most comfortable with other dogs as they easily become my best friend. A nice lady took a chance on me and welcomed me into her home as her foster dog. It really gave me the chance to find my bearings and come out of my shell at my own pace. Ive learned that potty time is outdoors only (personally I prefer the freedom of a doggy door) and that I didnt have to bury my food or hoard my toys, that nobody was going to take them away. Meal time is my favorite part of the day, just knowing food is on its way makes my body wiggle and makes me so happy. I trust the nice lady; Im still getting used to any type of physical touch but she has shown so much patience that Im slowly getting there! She let me know that shes unfortunately moving and will not be able to foster me anymore. It makes me sad, but she assured me that Im welcome to stay until that day comes. With the help of Codys and HSNT, they all have high hopes they can place me in a rescue so I dont backtrack on my amazing progress by entering the stressful shelter environment again.

I know Im more work than others, but I promise Im worth the effort, Ive come such a long way and I know I can overcome my past. Ive gone to all my health checkups and I have all my vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and neutered.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
