Description:
Budderific (Buddy) is a sweet 10 year old male Poo-chon who was surrendered to a local shelter through no fault of his own. The local shelter reached out to LWDR because Buddy couldnt stay in the shelter because of his Addisons disease.

Buddy is potty trained but he does "mark" in his foster home. It may be less when he is in his permanent home. He is very food motivated and loves his treats. Buddy is super laid back and he loves to cuddle. He will need another fur sibling in his new home to play with. Buddy loves to wrestle and play with the resident dogs in his foster home. He will require a fenced yard because he loves to run and play off leash. He is very fast. He also tries to door dart.

Buddys adoption fee is 250.00 He is already neutered, microchipped and is current on his vaccinations. Buddy didnt get his daily meds for his Addisons for a period of time so we are working with our vet team to gradually get him back on the correct dose where he needs to be. After his meds are at the right level he will need a dental.

Dogs with Addisons require an injection every 28 days and a daily oral medicine. The bottle of medicine for his shots is 200.00 and will last for several months. Buddy will also need blood checks every 14 days for awhile to ensure that he is receiving the correct dosages of his meds. Buddys new family will need to be prepared to continue his medical treatment and medicines for the rest of his life. Dogs with Addisons can live a long and happy life.

Update: April 2 - Buddy is doing well with his current medicine dosage and schedule. He loves to go on car rides and to hang out with his family. Buddy wears a belly band since he likes to mark in his foster home. He is a happy guy that would love to find his fur ever home.

Update March 2021: Buddy lost a little weight when he went in for his last shot. We are adding an acid reflux medicine to see if that will help.
