Target is a handsome and goofy boy who really enjoys playing with other dogs and really likes hanging out with people. Target is a lover of food, any kind of snack works for this guy! Target is what some would call a diamond in the rough. He is a socially challenged 8 month old puppy who has some particular needs. We think for Target it is a combination of his genetics, being more nervous by nature, and environment, that he didnt get as much socialization as he needed in his first few months of life, so new places are scary and overwhelming for him. We have been slowly working on exposing him to new places, people and things. Target is making friends and getting more comfortable with changes but he will likely never be the type of dog that you take with you everywhere. Target needs a home with dog experience, no children under 12 years and a family who has a fenced in yard and wont mind if Target is a homebody and not the type to join you on walks or adventures away from home.

Target is available to meet by appointment only. If you think you may have what Target is looking for in a home and want to discuss him further with staff, submit an online application. Once approved, we will reach out to you to schedule a meeting with Target.

FindpetTM is a Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry for the AAHA Universal Pet Microchip Lookup Tool. AAHA provides an internet-based application that enables veterinarians, humane organizations, pet owners or other persons to search various Pet Recovery Service registries and identify those registries on which a particular microchip is registered. AAHA is not affiliated or involved with any specific microchip registry and has no relationship, financial or otherwise, with this Participating Pet Recovery Service Registry ("Registry"). This Registry has given AAHA permission to search the Registry's database in order to assist pet owners in being reunited with their pets. AAHA does not maintain a database of microchips of its own. It only links to registries such as this one. The AAHA Universal Microchip Lookup Tool only searches the databases of companies that elect to participate in the program.
